TOP 10 CANCER FEEDING FOODS TO AVOID IMMEDIATELY!

1) Refined White Sugar

(Includes High Fructose Corn Syrup)

Cancer cells love sugar. Unfortunately refined white sugar is something they feed uncontrollably on and likely will spread quickly throughout the body.

You will be amazed when you read ingredients at just how many things have refined white sugar in them! I encourage you to read ingredients on EVERYTHING before you buy it, and I mean EVERYTHING, as even many spicy sauces and dry rubs have refined sugar listed in their ingredients.

BETTER CHOICE: (and use in moderation)

stevia, stuvia, blackstrap molasses, organic maple syrup, and organic local honey

2) GMOs (Genetically-modified organisms)

This one is scary folks! Anything that causes rapid tumor growth has no place in a healthy diet! Especially if you want to prevent or fight cancer! When your body is compromised already and fighting any disease, the last thing you need to do is bombard it with chemicals! GMOs are everywhere. Beware of any conventional corn, soybeans, and canola!

AVOID THEM:

Stick with “certified organic,” “certified non-GMO verified,” and locally grown foods that are produced naturally. (be sure to ask about how it is grown)

3) Processed Meats

Most hot dogs, sausage, bacon, and lunch meats are processed and preserved with these chemicals: sodium nitrite and/or sodium nitrate in order to lengthen their shelf life and to enhance to appearance with color and enhance flavor.The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that levels of nitrates and nitrites in foods pose a “major concern” and that more research is needed to determine the risk of dietary exposure.

JUST AVOID THEM PERIOD! THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVES HERE.

4) Refined “white” Flours

Refined flour is a common ingredient in processed foods, but its excess carbohydrate content is a serious cause for concern. A study published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Mile Markers, and Prevention found that regular consumption of refined carbohydrates was linked to a 220 percent increase in breast cancer among women. ALTERNATIVES:

Organic Almond Flour, Organic Coconut Flour, Organic Quinoa Flour, and others but just be sure they are non-GMO and preferably organic.

5) Farmed salmon

Another high-risk cancer food, according to Dr. David Carpenter, Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University of Albany. According to his assessment, farmed salmon not only lacks vitamin D, but it is often contaminated with carcinogenic chemicals, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), flame retardants, pesticides, and antibiotics (http://www.albany.edu/ihe/salmonstudy/pressrelease.html).

6)  Microwave Popcorn

Let's start with the bag, which is lined with chemicals! Then the source of the corn and the oil is most likely GMO, which by the way, manufacturers do not have to disclose!  Lastly, unless organic, the fumes released from artificial butter flavoring contain diacetyl, which is toxic to humans. Need I say more?

BEST CHOICE IS BUY ONLY ORGANIC POPPING CORN OR MAKE YOUR OWN THE OLD FASHIONED WAY! AND USE A HOT AIR POPPER! THEY ARE FUN AND PRETTY FAST TOO!

7)  Sodas and carbonated drinks

It's amazing that sodas are still consumed at the level they are considering how long we have known how bad they are for us. Where do we start? They are filled with chemicals and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and dyes. Not only do all of these things have ZERO nutritional value, they also may be robbing your body of the nutrients it really needs from the other foods you eat. Worse yet, if "DIET" is on the label you are adding another nasty ingredient that is likened to "rat poison to human cells."

8) Salted, Pickled, and Smoked Foods

Most of these products are full of preservatives (nitrates). It's all about getting a longer "shelf life" out of them! These additives are toxins once they have accumulated in your body over time. We all now know that toxins can do some serious damage to our cells over time and can lead to diseases like cancer. Your body is only able to battle so much for so long before it starts taking its toll. Smoked foods that are cooked at high temperatures end up converting the nitrates to the even more dangerous nitrites!

BEST OPTION-Read the labels and avoid these foods. Or at the very least the ones with any nitrates/nitrites in them! Make your own at home with only the best ingredients and no chemicals!

9) Hydrogenated Oils

These oils are extracted from their source with chemicals! Then they are bombarded with MORE chemicals to give them a certain smell and taste. Add-on more unhealthy things, like omega-6 fats and you've got a triple wammy going on against your poor body!!

BEST CHOICES ARE STICKING WITH ORGANIC COCONUT OIL OR ORGANIC OLIVE OIL.

10) Grilled Red Meat

This one is a strange one because there are many of us who have been grilling our red meat for years! Oddly enough, when you grill meats (especially processed meats like hot dogs) there is a carcinogen that gets released. It is called heterocyclic aromatic amines. It turns out that grilling to the point of well-done (red meat), changes its molecular and chemical structure.

BEST CHOICE: CHOOSE ONLY ORGANIC GRASS FED MEAT. PREPARE RED MEAT IN A SKILLET, BROIL, OR BAKE. (I never cook red meat until it is well done)
